David Zomer started out in missions during his days at Hope College, serving as a volunteer in Appalachia and China. Before moving to Italy, he spent eight years as an RCA missionary in Hungary. In Italy since 2005, he initially worked at the Ecumene Retreat Center and for the Waldensian Church’s Moderator in Rome on ecumenical relations. Now David ministers in Sicily, pastoring the Waldensian Reformed Church and Ecumenical Center in Pachino and the Methodist Church in Scicli. He also leads a long term care facility for the elderly and mentally challenged in Vittoria. David has three children: Nick, Katie, and Ellie.
