Mission Statement:

"To provide small groups where everyone experiences true belonging in order to become people who are always growing and dying to live out our call to love God and the world."

What is P.O.D.S?

"P" - PRAYER- Our groups will devote time to praying with and for each other.  Through prayer, people will discover intimacy with God and each other.

"O" - OPEN CHAIR- Our groups will consciously recognize an open chair in their group and strive to fill that chair by reaching out to those who are not connected so they too could experience community with God and other people.

"D" - DIALOGUE WITH GOD- Our groups will devote time to reading and discussing God's word together.  The goal is to learn more about Christ so we may be conformed to his image by the power of the Spirit. 

"S" - SHARE OUR LIVES- Because God said, "Two are better than one," our groups will share our joys, our experiences, our questions, and our struggles with each other in order to encourage and keep one another accountable to our calling.

Small groups meet at various times. There is a place for you! To inquire about joining a group, please contact Judy Huisingh here at Church for placement into a group! 

WHAT'S NEW IN 2012 - ReGroup 
 

Come in and experience community in a small group environment!  Beginning January 8, 2012 and running through February, the Small Group Ministry Team will be presenting, "ReGroup" for adults, during both the Sunday School hour after church, and on Wednesday night, "GROW" time. (01/04/12)  This opportunity trains small groups, (PODS) to be better groups.  If you aren't in a POD, it is the perfect time to come check out small group community at CCC.  In a POD already?  Feel free to come by and experience group life/ReGroup in a different environment.  We'll be meeting in the CHURCH NURSERY.  Contact a member of the SGMT with any questions! 

Why Be In A Small Group?

God created each of us to be in community with Him and with other people. He does not want us to go through this life on our own. PODS at Covenant Community Church help meet this need that we all have...to belong.

And the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone." Genesis 2:18

It is through the experience of authentic community that each of us can truly be a part of the family of God as He intended. We pray for each other, share our lives, serve one another and our community and learn more about God who loves each of us. We believe that each of us NEEDS this to LIVE!

In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5
